Reception of IVLP certificate of participation at the U.S Embassy

Egbe Anna Etaka on May 30 to June 7, 2019, was selected to visit the United States under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) organized by the U.S Department of State. The program is the U.S Department of State’s professional exchange program that connects current and emerging foreign leaders with their American counterparts through short-term programs to build mutual understanding of foreign policy issues.

She participated under the theme “combating corruption: promoting transparency and accountability in business” in which she shared and exchanged ideas on fighting corruption with professional colleagues, American Federal and States institutions as well as civil society. During her stay in the U.S, she visited and observed the different way in which Americans do things to minimize or curb corruption by visiting different parts of the country for which she applauds the sense of decentralization of power and the empowerment of the people.
