A man has been arrested for trafficking in pangolin scales in Bertoua. He was arrested during an operation carried out by wildlife officials of Lom & Djerem Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife with the technical support of a wildlife law enforcement body known as the Last Great Ape Organisation (LAGA).

A man has been arrested with 331 kg of pangolin scales representing 1.600 pangolins killed, at the Briqueterie Neighbourhood in Yaounde. He was arrested during a crackdown operation jointly carried out by officials of the Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife and the Gendarmerie Brigade of Nlongkak with technical assistance from LAGA, a wildlife law enforcement organisation.

They were arrested last weekend during a crackdown operation carried out by wildlife officials of the Menoua Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the Gendarmerie.

A man has been arrested in Dimako for trafficking in pangolin scales. He was arrested during a crackdown operation carried out by wildlife officials of the Upper Nyong Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the Police of Abong -Mbang. He was apprehended at his home with close to 60kg of pangolin scales packed in a bag, as he was just about to go out and sell the scales. LAGA, a wildlife law enforcement organisation technically assisted officials during the operation.

The two soldiers, a sergeant, formerly working with the Presidential Guard, and a navy second class soldier were arrested by elements of the Odza Gendarmerie Brigade and the Mimboman Gendarmerie Company.

They were arrested during a crackdown operation carried out by the Littoral Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the Police. The operation was also carried out with the technical assistance of LAGA, a non-governmental organization. They were found with two ivory tusks in the trunk of their car during the arrest.

He was arrested at a filling station when the car he was boarding stopped at the petrol station for fuel. The arrest was carried out by the Koung-Khi Divisional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with Bandjoun gendarmerie brigade. A non-governmental organization called LAGA provided technical assistance during the operation.

The son of a former finance minister has been arrested alongside four others for trafficking in wildlife products. They were about to carry out an illegal transaction involving the sale of two ivory tusks when wildlife officials arrived the scene at the Omnisport neighbourhood in Yaounde. The arrest was done during the crackdown operation led by the Centre Regional Delegation for Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the Ngousso Gendarmerie Brigade in Yaounde. A nongovernmental organization called LAGA technically assisted the operation.

A successful operation carried out by the Moungo Divisional Delegation of Forestry has resulted in the arrest of three alleged traffickers in totally protected wildlife species in Loum in the West Region. The suspects were arrested on July 24, 2019, trying to sell four leopard skins. A motorbike they used for transporting the skins was seized alongside the four skins.

A Garoua-based policeman has been arrested in Yaounde in connection with the killing and trafficking of wildlife products at the Bouba Ndjida national park. The police constable was arrested at his hotel room in Odza, Yaounde with an ivory tusk, a leopard skin and 5 lion skulls. The arrest was carried out by the centre regional delegation of forestry and wildlife working in collaboration with the Odza gendarmerie brigade. A wildlife law enforcement support body known as LAGA provided technical support during the operation.

Four people have been arrested with an estimated 2 tons of pangolin scales and about 200kg of ivory in Douala, during a crackdown operation carried out by a team comprising wildlife and police officers. The four traffickers were found in possession of an illegal consignment of pangolin scales and ivory that was transported in two vehicles. The four were immediately arrested after police checked and found out the contents of the cars.

The four, including a policeman, were arrested during an operation carried out by the Centre Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the police that found them discussing the illegal sale of the pangolin scales that were loaded in two cars. The operation was carried out with the technical assistance of LAGA, a wildlife law enforcement support body.

The Littoral Regional Delegation for National Security has arrested 2 wildlife dealers in Douala for trafficking in 1 ton of ivory about to be exported to international black market. The Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife in collaboration with the Judiciary and LAGA is establishing a case file against these ivory traffickers who are now behind bars. This, in conformity with the law of 1994, governing the wildlife sector in Cameroon.
